Easy Pizza Dough

I don't know about y'all, but I could probably eat pizza every day and be a happy woman. I LOVE it! I especially love it when pizza is homemade, mmmmm. I stumbled across this recipe and thought it was probably too good to be true, but it's completely legit. I really don't know how you could mess this one up. I do have some pointers to add but it's pretty much just what it says.

Fast and Easy Pizza Dough
3 cups flour, more or less
1 tablespoon honey, heaping
1 tablespoon oil, heaping
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt

Preheat oven to 475 degrees. (If using a pizza stone, let stone heat for at least 30 minutes in the oven before baking pizza.) Mix all pizza dough ingredients together, except the flour. Add flour and knead for a bit then put into pan (or use a pizza peel and pizza stone). If baking in a sheet pan, bake for about 12 minutes (checking often) until crust is browned and cheese is golden and bubbly. If baking on the preheated pizza stone, slide pizza onto stone and bake for about 8 minutes. Makes 1 large pizza.

*Here is what I would add: this did not stretch or pull very well, so I just put it on a floured counter and rolled it out until it was the size I wanted for my sheet pan. I still can't believe how easy and awesome this yeast dough recipe is. Try it and you'll like it! Try it and you may I say :)

This is my dough after I rolled it out. You could easily roll it round for a pizza pan.

I decided to do a Margherita pizza (named for a queen, not for a drink...) so I got some fresh mozzarella (if you get some fresh mozzarella and haven't worked with it before, get as much moisture off of it as you can and add a little salt after putting it on the pizza) and basil and a nice tomato! Also, before I put toppings on homemade pizza, I brush a little olive oil onto the crust first. It makes it a little crispier and makes it taste a little better as well. That's up to you :)

My awesome husband bought me a mandolin! It has totally changed the way I slice things...

Yum right? Right.
