I do have a couple things to say concerning what she says in the recipe. I think because I live in a state of constant humidity, aka Texas, mine didn't take an hour and a half to triple in size. It took only 30 minutes!! Also, I didn't like the idea of using dental floss to cut the rolls, so I used thread instead. I just worried about them having a slight... toothpaste flavor. Bleh. Mine baked fast like hers did, so keep an eye on them.
These really were fun to make. If you do exactly what the recipe says, they will turn out just fine :) I will definitely make these again, but probably not until it's cooler outside. Also, I need a bigger kitchen...
This is what my yeast and water looked like after about 5 minutes. If you look closely you can see it's bubbled up in the middle. Kind of like looking at the North Pole! Merry Christmas!
Here's my first third, rolled out and ready to roll back up! I really needed more space here. It'll be a couple of years at least but I'm dying to be in a house with a decent kitchen. Is anyone giving one of those away for free?
Here they are, rising again, and waiting for the oven to heat up.
Here they are done! As you can see, I obviously need to work on my rolling skills. Some of them stayed together, but some.... not so much. Either way these are delicious!! Also, I would make double the glaze. There was just BARELY enough to put a drizzle on top of each one. I would have liked to have them all frosted nicely with it :)
